Advantage Technical is Hiring a Corporate Controller Near Troy, MI
Position: 3:2 Hybrid. 3 days in office
Salary: $185-225K
Description
- Lead and manage all aspects of the company's global accounting and reporting activities, including: Corporate Accounting, North American Shared Services, External Reporting and Capital Accounting and Forecasting.
- Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of worldwide consolidated financial statements with full disclosure in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee and direct activities around monthly global consolidations.
- Support the identification, evaluation, design and development of efficient processes and systems utilization, concentrating on compliance, risk mitigation, cost effectiveness and best practices for the global consolidation system
- Establish and maintain a system of internal controls, including the financial reporting manual.
- Provide account analyses as required to provide insight into operations and monitor financial risks and opportunities, making recommendations and taking action as appropriate.
- Assist with the budget process and 5-year planning process
- Lead and coordinate activities of external auditors for Tier1's consolidated financial statements, benefit plans, bank audits, and other reporting requirements.
- Lead, mentor and develop all accounting team members.
- Assist with special projects, as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA and/or MBA required.
- Minimum 15 years of related experience required, including financial reporting, leading external annual audit, and corporate accounting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Previous experience managing direct and indirect teams.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and application of US GAAP
- Experience with OneStream consolidation software preferred.
